The Biggest Little City in the World is home to the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, and there's nothing little about it, as it boasts one of the largest gaming floors in Reno.
If you think Lady Luck is on your side, the Atlantis is a great place to play the odds, whether it be on the slots, in the poker room or at the roulette table.
For those who don't feel as lucky, retreating to your room is always a good bet, as cable TV, on-demand videos, 24-hour room service and access to the indoor and outdoor pools come standard with every room.
Some rooms even offer views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
There's plenty to keep you busy on the property's grounds, so be sure to take advantage of it all.
The resort puts on a variety of concerts and special events, and there are 10 bars and lounges, where you can grab a cocktail, catch the game or chat up other vacationers.
And last but not least, a trip to the Spa at Atlantis is a great way to soothe the pain of any big losses at the casino –- just don't expect it to win you your money back.
The San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs are a notch above the rest of the National League, while the American League is wide-open, according to season win-total expectations released Thursday by the sportsbook at the Atlantis Casino in Reno, Nevada.
The Giants are the only team to open with a win total of 90.
They are followed closely by the Cubs at 89 and the New York Mets at 88."To me, the Giants, top-to-bottom, have the least amount of question marks," Atlantis sportsbook director Steve Mikkelson said. Louis Cardinals, Washington Nationals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Los Angeles Dodgers also have win totals of 87 or greater.
"The Cubs are a very good, but they have these youngsters. In the American League, the Kansas City Royals are tops.
The defending World Series champs opened at 87 wins (-115 under)."In the American League, to me, every team, except for the [Oakland] A's, think they can win it," Mikkelson said.
